Q. Who can become members of TAA?

Anyone who has acquired MSc., MTech, PhD through TIFR,
An ex-member who has worked for at least 2 years as an academic or scientific staff
Any person who has spent at least one year as a post-doc
Any existing staff member (academic/scientific/technical/administrative) who is a current member of TIFR can become an "Associate Member". Such members shall have all the rights as regular members and shall automatically become regular members after they leave the services of the Institute

Q. What is the membership fee?

Indian nationals pay Rs 2200/- and foreign nationals, and Indians settled abroad pay Rs 2500

It is a lifetime membership

Q. What are the benefits of becoming a member?

Every Alumni member is issued a membership card which identifies you as an ex-member of the Institute and will allow you to enter TIFR premises to meet your colleagues, browse journals in the Library. Apart from mere access to the Institute, you will be able to interact with the TIFR community of reseachers and students - both present and past. You will get regular updates about the various activities of TIFR.
